Here's exactly what we do — and what we don't accept — to make sure the person at your door is the right one.
Every sitter clears all of these before they can take a single booking. We re-verify annually.

Passport, drivers licence, plus a selfie liveness check. Matched against the photo on their Mini Connections profile.
We call two non-family references. Real conversation, real questions — not a form to fill in. References must be people who've seen them care for kids.
A 30-minute video chat with our care team. We're listening for warmth, judgement, and the way they describe past bookings.
HLTAID012 (Provide first aid in education and care) must be current. CPR recertified every twelve months — we send reminders in-app.
After every booking, parents leave a private rating. Anything below 4 stars triggers a review by our care team. Two bad reviews and the sitter is suspended pending an in-person.
We share the bare minimum. A sitter only sees your address after a booking is confirmed. Your phone number stays masked until then — calls and messages route through the app.
All data stored in Sydney (AWS ap-southeast-2). Backups encrypted at rest, TLS in transit. We're audited annually under the Australian Privacy Principles.
You're in control. Delete your account any time from settings — every record is purged within 30 days, except billing records we're legally required to keep.
